Specification Data

Materials:

The Wallace Seals are all produced in a specially formulated Flexible PVC Polymer except the following:

APSW150SWDWV- 150mm Drain Waste & Vent Which is produced using a specially formulated Thermoplastic Elastomer
Both materials are also UV Stabilized and conform to the FDA requirements of 21 CFR 177.1500

Working Parameters and Specifications:

Low Pressure: The Wallace seals are currently designed to allow a simple way for tanks etc. to be connected to each other using PVC pipe. The flexible joint that is created reduces any stress on the tank ensuring that any movement etc. is taken up in the Wallace Seal thus taking any stress off the tank etc.

Operational Temperature Range: Both materials used in the manufacture of the Wallace Seal are suitable for use in environments with temperatures ranging from -5° C to 55° C.

Environmental: All components of the Wallace Seal are produced in polymers which can be easily recycled and remolded.

Intended Use:

Instructions:

  1. Cut hole on wall of tank to the correct hole saw size of Wallace Seal being installed according to the Wallace seal specifications outlined in the sizing chart. It is crucial to use the correct size for a proper fit.
  2. Ensure a precise and clean hole cut using a sharp hole saw to prevent any sharp edges. Rough edges may lead to improper fitting and potential leakage.
  3. Insert the Wallace seal into the hole with the flange facing outward, ensuring that the writing is visible from the exterior.
  4. Prior to insertion, ensure the pipe end is neatly cut. Smooth any sharp edges by filing or lightly sanding the pipe’s edge to avoid damaging the seal during installation.
  5. Lubricate the outside of the pipe on end to be inserted, then push the pipe through the seal from flange side. As the pipe passes through the seal, the lubricant will be displaced, and the rubber’s friction will securely hold the pipe in place.
